Product Introduction

Our rubber O-Rings are circular sealing elements typically made from materials such as NBR (Nitrile), HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile), FKM (Fluoroelastomer), EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer), and others. Select the compound for the actual water, oil, gas or cleaning medium, rather than treating the listed materials as interchangeable.
 
O-rings are used in hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing and machinery assemblies. Water sealing depends on the installed groove, compression and fluid compatibility. Specify pressure cycles, continuous and peak temperatures, and whether the seal is static or moving; a material name alone does not establish a pressure or temperature rating.

Material Selection for Water and Oil Service

For water-service replacement, identify any disinfectant, glycol or cleaning chemical in the system. For oil-service replacement, provide the oil grade and additives. Confirm compatibility for the selected compound and service temperature. Food-contact or drinking-water approvals must be specified and confirmed for the actual grade.

Order by inside diameter and cross-section in millimetres, or a complete standard size reference. Include tolerances, groove dimensions, quantity and hardness requirement. Color alone cannot identify the polymer or compound; keep different materials separately labelled.
